Get a carbon copy of my Sony A7IV settings! This file will allow you to quickly and easily attain the same photo and video settings I use on my own A7IV. This file also maps all of my custom buttons to your A7IV.

I have primarily customized camera memory recall #1, #2, and #3 for Photo and Video modes! See below:

Video Modes:

  • Video #1: My primary, run & gun 24p mode
  • Video #2: My go-to 60p slow motion mode
  • Video #3: Custom studio mode (you should edit this to your specific needs!)

Photo Modes:

  • Photo #1: My primary, run & gun single-shot mode
  • Photo #2: My custom real estate mode (bracketed exposures)
  • Photo #3: My custom wedding / live event mode (aperture priority with min ss)

How to Install

  • By installing this custom settings file, you overwrite your existing settings. I strongly advise you to make a copy of your own by heading to Setup -> Reset/Save Settings -> Save/Load Settings > Save. Then, drag that file onto your computer for safe keeping.
  1. Start by formatting your card to make sure your folder structure is in its default format.
  2. Save your current settings by heading to Setup -> Reset/Save Settings -> Save/Load Settings -> Save.Perform this step even if you don’t want your settings, since doing this creates the necessary folder structure for the settings file.
  3. Insert SD/CFe card into computer and navigate to the settings folder: PRIVATE -> SONY -> SETTING -> 7M4 -> CAMSET. This is where your saved settings should be. If you want to save your settings for later, copy the “.DAT” file onto your computer. Then, delete your save file from the SD card.
  4. After downloading my settings file (“TBN_A7IV.DAT”), copy (or drag and drop) it into the last folder in this sequence: PRIVATE -> SONY -> SETTING -> 7M4 -> CAMSET ->Drop “TBN_A7IV.DAT” here.
  5. Insert the card into your Sony A7IV, and load the custom settings by heading to Setup -> Reset/Save Settings -> Save/Load Settings -> Load.

NOTE: This only works on other Sony A7IV models. However, I have a matching A7V setting files available as well.
